The Dufour 30, though
small, is nevertheless laid out for, and licensed to carry
6 persons, although more comfortable with 4. Like the other
Dufours in the range, she is of modest freeboard and possesses
reasonable overhangs, which, combined with a fairly low coach
roof, gives her a graceful and efficient appearance. The rig
is mast head with a roller jib having only a small overlap,
and a slab reefing mainsail, which together allow her to be
sailed very easily by 2. She is ideal for a couple, or parents
and 2 children. These yachts carry full safety equipment
as required by the Code of Practice, e.g. life raft, harnesses,
flares, life jackets. They also carry the necessary charts
and publications for the local area.
